OVERVIEW

The School of Law offers two masters degrees in Kigali City at Nyarugenge Campus and PhD in Law by Research:
• Masters (LLM) in Business Law
• Masters (LLM) in International Criminal Justice and Law of Human Rights
 
The LLM in Business Law started in 2006 and was the very first masters program of its kind in the Country. Most of its graduates are Judges at the Intermediate Courts and the High Court, and senior managers of companies in the country. The LLM in Business Law attracts international students from the Great Lakes of Africa in General and the East African Community in particular.

The LLM in International Criminal Justice and Law of Human Rights is newly created programme which mission is to train lawyers in International Criminal Justice and Law of Human Rights to respond to problems of human rights violation in the region.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

For LLM in Business Law: to be a holder of a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with Honours or an equivalent degree.
For LLM in International Criminal Justice and Law of Human Rights : to be a holder of a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with Honours or an equivalent degree or a BA in criminal Justice, Law and Criminology and related fields.
